It’s not often that hair stylist Neil Harvey gets an invitation to the pub from a crowd of lovely ladies, but on Saturday 9th July, he was enticed to the Old Joint Stock in Birmingham where he met up with the lady members of the Midlands Branch of Alopecia UK.

Neil’s informal presentation included the various types of hair replacement he provides, ranging from ready-made synthetic and human hair wigs and custom-made bespoke wigs.  He shared anecdotes of problems he has worked to overcome with Alopecia and hair loss sufferers in the past. Neil gave out a goody bag to everyone with products to maintain health of the scalp, a spray conditioner for synthetic wigs, a flesh coloured wig cap that helps with comfort and secure fitting of wigs and discount vouchers for Alopecia UK members.

After an open floor Q and A session, Neil talked privately to individuals about their specific concerns and hair replacement problems. 

Jennifer Austin who runs the Midland’s branch of Alopecia UK says,  "I found Neil's attitude very positive, he wants to help women with hair loss feel good about themselves."

Neil, who is based in his salon at Little Alne near Stratford-upon-Avon, has worked with hair loss sufferers for almost twenty years and has helped both women and men overcome some challenging problems caused by their condition.
